Today 28Th April 2020 GMB LAS Union has formally asked for BAME staff to be included to the vulnerable and at risk group.
Staff from BAME backgrounds appear to be disproportionately likely to develop severe coronavirus symptoms if they contract the virus.
GMB LAS Union appreciates that there is no national guidance on this issue but has asked the London Ambulance NHS Trust and the Government to add the BAME to the vulnerable and at risk Group GMB is the only union to do this.
GMB LAS Union will continue to look after all staffs health and safety at work and will continue to ask the questions on your behalf so that our members are protected at work.
