GMB asks for Satellite stations to reopen

Dear Members

Please can I take this opportunity to say a BIG THANK YOU to you all for the resilience, patience and hard work that you are doing to defeat this globe pandemic.

on the 5th May 2020 GMB LAS union emailed CEO Garrett Emmerson and COO Khadir Meer about GMBs concerns that our satellite stations are not fully open.

GMB LAS Union appreciates this is the greatest global health emergency in our history. But now we are entering the second phase in the NHS response and seeing the national figures have been dropping over the past few weeks and with the Rt Hon Boris Johnsons plan for the way forward.

GMB LAS Union is asking for the satellite stations to reopen so that cover is in the right place at the right time this will also allow for a better approach to social distancing which is outlined in the Governments Guidance.

once GMB LAS Union receives an formal response from the Trust we will update all our members.

GMB LAS union is on your side as your health and wellbeing matters.

if you are not a member of the GMB the largest union for ambulance staff nationally and would like to join and have a voice within the workplace please visit www.gmb.org.uk/join

Kind regards

GMB LAS Union
